Our Philosophy

Nestled at the foot of Ham Hill Country Park, Southcombe Gloves has been a part of the village of Stoke-sub-Hamdon for 175 years. We are very proud of the beautiful area that we live and work in and aim to preserve and enhance the environment around our factory and head office.

Our leather gloves are hand-made from the best quality leathers, personally selected by our highly skilled team. We produce small batches of hand-crafted leather from our tannery so that we can be rigorous about the entire process of glove making. The ultimate in "up-cycling", all our premium leather is a by-product of the food industry. Fully sustainable, we take something which would otherwise be wasted and, after working it through an age-old, traditional process, use it to make our beautiful, luxurious leather gloves. We handcraft our products to stand the test of time and we offer a repair service for all gloves bought from us.

Working in British manufacturing for many years, through boom times and hard times, we believe that honesty and integrity, together with the solid foundation of family, have helped us to survive and grow. Our standards are high: we aim to make the most luxurious product we can, with creativity, passion and expertise. We always strive to offer the highest standards of customer service.
